USAID/Jordan Data and Evidence for Education Programs (DEEP)

The USAID/Jordan Data and Evidence for Education Programs (DEEP) activity was a five-year project (2018-2023) that sought to improve the quality, relevance, availability, accessibility, and use of education data. The Activity used a multi-pronged approach to address challenges to effective data use, fostering a shift in data culture to further the goal of improved and more equitable education programs. In Jordan, DEEP focused on support to the Ministry of Education’s transition towards data utilization and evidence-based decision-making, by embedding teams in the Development Coordination Unit, and supporting the development of strategic MAL frameworks that align to new reforms, MIS development for school-level reconciliation of donor-funded projects and resources, as well as analysis workshops for remediation based on PISA data.
