Strengthening Social Cohesion in Iraq through Youth Dialogue

ClientBritish CouncilCountriesIraq

Integrated served as the learning partner for the TAHAWER Program in Iraq, a youth dialogue initiative focused on building social cohesion among Iraq’s diverse communities through dialogue on taboo and difficult subjects. By facilitating open conversations on sensitive and often contentious topics in safe spaces, the program aimed to bridge divides and foster understanding. As the learning partner, Integrated developed and navigated the Theory of Change, designed a comprehensive MEL system for theory-based evaluation, and strengthened in-country MEL capabilities. Learning studies focused on mixed methods approaches to engaging youth in 8 provinces, in order to provide valuable insights to guide the program’s pathway to impact.
