As an official innovation research partner with USAID’s All Children Reading – A Grand Challenge for Development, Integrated conducted a randomized control trial (RCTs) testing the efficacy of Antura and the Letters, an award-winning Arab Literacy digital journey through 6 levels. Tested among 1,000 out-of-school Syrian refugees in camps, the study’s research broke ground in assessing for the first time the impact of ed-tech on Arabic literacy and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) through game-based learning in refugee settings. This research informed learning on what works and what needs improvement within digital gamebased learning initiatives focused on out-of-school children. The study was presented at the Gates Foundation Annual Meeting, UNESCO Mobile Learning Week, and World Bank Learning Poverty Week.
