Integrated conducted a Rapid Assessment of Unpaid Care Work in Jordan, funded by Oxfam’s Youth Participation and Employment Engagement project, under the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme. The study aimed to shed light on the gendered division of unpaid care work, especially amidst the challenges of COVID-19 and the economic downturn. By surveying nearly 400 participants across 10 governorates and conducting participatory action research within focus groups with community members, we identified key insights and provided actionable recommendations to reduce the unpaid care burden and enhance women’s access to the paid labor market in Jordan.
