EU-funded Iraq TAHAWER Programme

The EU-funded Iraq TAHAWER Program was a three-year (2017-2020) that aimed to ensure that the practice of peacebuilding and development in Iraq is enhanced by the active contribution of young Iraqi women, men and people of influence. The project facilitated safe spaces for young women and men to participate in purposeful discussion on issues of interest, including on the role of religion in the context of peace building and development to foster social cohesion and rebuild social fabric and to bring their perspectives to people of influence at the local, regional and national level.
